Virginia was born in Warren County, Iowa where she had lived most of her life. She was a homemaker, full time mother and also worked in a local nursing home until she retired to travel full time with her husband, Richard Broyles. Virginia and Richard celebrated 57 years of marriage before Richard's death on December 4, 2004. She was a member of the New Virginia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Carole) Broyles; grandchildren Stacy Broyles, Eric Broyles, and Adrienne Richards; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Shirley Webb and Barbara Chambers. Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, David and Bertha Ann Chambers; 4 brothers, Bill, Eugene, David and John Chambers; 3 sisters, Irene Hoover, Letha Speer and Nettie Lou Hogueison.
