Henry Wayne Bruce, 68, of Manor (Ware Co, GA) died peacefully Sunday afternoon (June 29, 2008) at his residence after a brief illness. He was born in Clinch County, GA to the late Francis Marion Bruce and Doris Henderson Bruce. Mr. Bruce lived in Ware County for most of his life except when he was serving his country in the U.S. Navy for 3 years and the U.S. Army for 6 years. He was self-employed.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Joan Henderson Bruce, Manor, one daughter, Sandy Corbett Tiner and husband Dennis, Manor, three grandchildren, Joseph Corbett Hayman, Patrick Lee Hayman and Jordan Thomas Tiner all of Manor; one sister, Marion Bruce Akridge and husband Mack, Florence, SC, one sister-in-law, Helen Corbett, Manor; four nieces, Julie Hudson and husband Don, Lexington, SC, Gin Ripatella and husband Brian, Missouri, Carol Denham and husband Eric, Manteo, NC and Janet Corbett Stalvey, Florence, SC; one nephew, Phillip Norman Corbett and wife Allison, Manor, two aunts, Margie Henderson Steedley and husband George, Tifton, Illa Van Sims, Valdosta; one brother-in-law, Wallace "Bo" Henderson and wife Marilyn, Seattle, WA and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 4:00 pm at his residence.
