Betty Sue (Roden) Bailey, 76, of Greenway died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 5, 1929, the daughter of William and Hallie (Pugh) Roden in Brilliant, Ala.

On Jan. 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Leslie Bailey in Piggott. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2004.

She obeyed the gospel at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in 1945 and after the church at Pleasant Valley no longer had worship she worshiped at the Greenway Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clifton Roden; and one sister, Vera Lee (Roden) Trammell.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Bobbie Roden of Tupelo, Miss., and all her in-laws of the Bailey family; two nieces and a nephew, Patsy and Larry Copeland of Rector, Monica and Jimmy Spencer of Tupelo, Miss., and Rusty and Karen Roden of Lafayette, La.; three great-nieces, Nancy Beth Copeland, Annina Rose Spencer and Hallie Elizabeth Roden; four great-nephews, Allen Haywood, Chris and Shannon Haywood and John Roden; one great-great-nephew, Landon Haywood; and many other friends who mourn her passing including the whole congregation of the Greenway Church of Christ, with special remembrance of Mr. and Mrs. Hardin Hill, Mrs. Virginia Mack, the Turner family, Mrs. Diane Midkiff and other very special friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday (today), April 19, 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday (today), April 19, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Topper Killough and Tim Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.
