She was born July 11, 1927, to Henry and Pauline (Peterson) Christopherson at Wheeler.
On Dec. 16, 1950, she married Donald DeLap at Waukegan, Ill. The couple lived most of their life in Milwaukee before retiring to the Ridgeland area, where they purchased Muriel's childhood home from her mother.
Muriel loved to dance and had a wonderful laugh and smile. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are her sons, Charles (Joan) Nichols of New Berlin, Russell (Bonnie) DeLap of Brookfield and Jeffrey (Susan) DeLap of Holmen; daughters, Linda Kehres-Miller (Lawrence) of New Berlin and Pam (David) Jenks of Oak Creek; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Ruby) Christopherson of Ridgeland; sisters, Pearl (Jalmer) Pederstuen of Ridgeland, Vivian Lundequam of Prairie Farm, Nina (Elwood) Donaldson of Sand Creek, Ethel Lien of Dallas, Mary Lou Puls of Barron and Betty Malcolm of Blue Earth, Minn.; her dog and faithful companion, Boots; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 28, 1999; sisters, Hilda Knutson, Hazel and Joyce Christopherson and Evelyn Clemetson; and brothers, William and Gordon Christopherson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, from New Hope-Pine Creek Lutheran Church, Town of Wilson, rural Ridgeland, with Rev. Barbara Koch officiating and interment at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the church Thursday.
Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas and Cameron, handled arrangements.
