A.J. Harvey Dead

Albert J. Harvey, a pioneer citizen of Pettis county, died at 7 o'clock Sunday morning, at his home, ten miles north of Sedalia, of general debility.

Mr. Harvey was born in Saline county in 1835, and in 1854 he moved to Pettis county, where he has since resided.

In 1863 he was married to Miss Nancy J. Gorrell. The union was blessed with four children, all of whom are living, viz; Ida Alexander, of Nelson; S.E., who lives on the home farm; Urbin, now living near Herndon, and Mrs. Cam Jones, of near Longwood.

A sister, Mrs. Wm. Ricks, of Sedalia, also survives him.

His wife died some nine years ago, since which time he has resided on the home farm with some of his children.

He was a member of the High Point Methodist church, south. The funeral services were held at the house at 11 o'clock this morning, and the remains were interred in the Longwood Cemetery.
