Susan (Delaurie) Hobby, 58, of Millbury, died Friday in the Tippet Home in Needham, after an illness.
She leaves her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Michael J. Hobby, of Millbury; her daughters, Jennifer Beer and her husband David, of Millbury, and Nicole Peterson and her husband Seth of Worcester; her beloved grandchildren, Joshua and Jillian Hanlon of Millbury, and Noah Peterson of Worcester, and a sister, Patricia A. Love of Billerica. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Delaurie.
She was born in Worcester; she is the daughter of Lucille M. (Baird) Nims, of Leicester and the late Arthur J.L. Delaurie. She was educated in Leicester schools.
Mrs. Hobby worked as a financial secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church for many years.
She loved to cook and to sew and spend time in her garden. Above all else she treasured the time she would spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Burial will be held privately.
