Jacob Levi "Jake" Arterberry, age 27, of Maquoketa, Iowa died suddenly on Monday, June 16, 2008, at his home in Maquoketa, Iowa.                           A public graveside service celebrating Jake's life will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008 from the Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoleta, Iowa Chaplain/Celebrant Reverand Ruth Ann Scott of Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Service in Maquoketa will officiate.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jake Levi "Jake" Arterberry Memorial Fund.  Envelopes will be available at the Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa, where Jake's family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2008, from 4 - 7 p.m.                       

Jacob Levi Arterberry was born on March 7, 1981 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Bernie H. and Katherine M. Reistroffer Arterberry.  He was educated in Maquoketa Community Schools and earned his GED with honers.  Jake had worked alongside his father in the family construction business, Arterberry Construction and Campbell Siding and Windos for the past several years.  Jake liked hanging out with friends, and was a Chicago Cubs fan.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and one of his proudest moment's came when he shot his first buck in 1997 at the age of 16.  He also was very close to his family and enjoyed spending time with them.                

Jake is survived by his fatherm Bernie (Dani Wells) Arterberry of Maquoketa, Iowa; his maternal grandfather, Donald E. Reistroffer of Maquoketa, Iowa; his paternal grandmother, Donna Arterberry of Maquoketa, Iowa; his paternal great-grandmother, Bernice McCarty of Maquoketa, Iowa; and many Special Friends.                     

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Arterberry on December 28, 2006.  his maternal grandmother, paternal grandfather, maternal rgeat-grandparents, and paternal great- grandfather.
