C. Denise Barkley, 75, of 233 S. Cedar St., New Castle, died the night of June 13, 2008, in Kindred Hospital, Beaver, PA.

She was married for 25 years to George Raymond Barkley. He died May 17, 1978.
Relatives: five daughters, Diana Tavolario of Rancho Murieta, Calif., and Deborah Rozzi, Brenda Watt, Donna Holler and Betsy Kendall, all of New Castle; two sons, Robert Barkley and David Barkley, both of New Castle; three brothers, Alan McConnell and Douglas McConnell, both of North Carolina, and Jerry McConnell of Virginia; a sister, Karen Porter of Florida; 13 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, George Barkley Jr., Brian Alan Barkley, and two infants; a brother, Stuart McConnell; a sister, Kathleen Courduff; a grandson, Brian Kendall; and a stepgrandson, Carl Felix.
