Funeral services for Dale Junior Adkisson, 82, Taneyville, will be held at the Whelchel Funeral Chapel in Forsyth on June 4, 2008, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the Dickens Cemetery in Taneyville with full military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home on June 3, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Adkisson died May 30, 2008, at Skaggs Community Hospital in Branson.
Dale was born the son of Roy Allen and Etta M. Adkisson. He served during World War II and was a lifetime member of the VFW of Forsyth Post #5168. He was a member of the New Vision General Baptist Church of Taneyville.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Doris Jean Adkisson.
He is survived by his sons, John Adkisson and his wife Alycia, Taneyville, and David Adkisson, Olathe, Kan.; brother, Donald Adkisson of Florida; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
