My great-great grandfather. The father of my great-grandmother and the grandfather of my grandmother, he was known as Nonno. Born in Malfa, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1904. He married Maria Antonia Lauricella in 1906. Together, they had ten children, nine of whom survived into adulthood. He owned a fruit store on Mount Auburn Street in Watertown. He passed away on September 6, 1970, the day after a family reunion. He was 88 years old. At the time of his passing, he was survived by seven of his ten children, twenty-four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
