Janet A. Clark, 69, of 1507 Eighth St. S.W., died Sunday (Oct. 21, 2001) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with the Rev. Samuel Hamilton-Poore officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Janet A. Clark Memorial Fund.

Janet was born April 11, 1932, in Rake, the daughter of Justin and Anna (Olson) Jarshaw. She graduated from Forest City High School. She married Bernard J. Clark in 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last November. To this union were born four children, Gary, Mark, Julie and Kimberly.

Janet was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Last may she became a great grandmother to her pride and joy, Ethan.

Her greatest joy came from caring for her family and baking. Her recipes have been enjoyed and passed on to family and friends who have trouble duplicating her perfection in this area.

Janet was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Those who are thankful for sharing her life include, her husband, Bernard Clark, of Mason City; two sons, Gary Clark and his wife, Vicky, of Mason City, and Mark Clark, of Mason City; two daughters, Julie Dorsey and Kimberly Clark, both of Mason City; five grandchildren, Heather Welch and her husband, Ryan; Melissa Clark, Matthew Clark, Amber Dorsey, and Kristen Dorsey; one great-grandson, Ethan Welch; two sisters, Audrey Hanna and her husband, Alroy, of Mason City, and Jean Purcell, of Fort Dodge; one brother, Jim Jarshaw and his wife, Barb, of Walnut Creek, Calif,; and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Vernon Jarshaw; mother and father-in-law, Barney and Leah Clark; and brother-in-law, Larry Clark.
