Rena's full name was Inger Serine Olsdatter Nilsen (which was changed to Nelson when she came to the states). She was the d/o Nils Johansen and Anna Catrine Olsdatter. She came from Farsund, Norway to Illinois in April 1892. She married Oscar Olson in 1893 and settled in Woodstock, IL. She lived with her son, Robert at the end of her life. She was bed ridden and need constant attention. My mom was a young girl at the time (she, her sister, and mother lived with her grandparents, Robert and Caroline Olson), and remembers her being there and that she was a nice woman.
