Minnie married another immigrant's child, Henry Earnest Baumhoefer (b. abt. 1875, MO), on 6 July 1899 in Washington, Franklin County, MO. They settled on a farm near Hartsburg, adjacent to that of Henry's brother Fritz.
There, Minnie and Henry had four children: Minnie, Hilda, Edwin, and Amelia.
In 1911, Henry murdered his brother, probably over disputes involving property and money. Henry was sentenced to 35 years in the State Penitentiary at Jefferson City.
Minnie and her son Edwin, who worked for the railroad, eventually settled in Napoleon.
Her daughter Minnie married John Lamborn and settled in Kansas City. Hilda married Walter Henry Scott, and also settled in Kansas City. Amelia married Otto Utecht, and moved to California.
