Sylvester Cade Beevers, 78, died Jan 31, 1950 at his daughter’s home in Hill County TX. Services at Mt. Calm Methodist Church with burial in Mt Antioch Cemetery.
He had been sick for several weeks.
He was born in Mt Calm TX in 1871, and lived most of his life in this area working as a farmer. He was an active member of Assembly of God Church.
Survivors: sons, D.C. Beevers of Lubbock TX, Floyd Beevers of Melrose N.M. and Lloyd Beevers of Mt Calm TX.; daughters, Mrs. Dora Glidewell and Mrs. R. D. Howell of Mt Calm TX, Mrs. Jess Potts of Mart TX and Mrs. Frank Hinton of Cleburne TX; 33 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
