I think of you often
and make no outward show,
But what it means to lose you,
no one will ever know
You wished no one farewell,
not even said good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
You are not forgotten
nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memories last,
I will always remember thee.
To some you may be forgotten,
to others a part of the past,
But to me who loved you dearly,
your memories will always last.
Nothing can be more beautiful
than the memories I have of you.
To me, you were someone special,
God must have thought so too!
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane,
I would walk all the way to Heaven,
and bring you back again.

My Earliest memories, the ones the I still can recall, my happiest moments...the memories that I hold closest and dearest in my Heart, all belong to my Grandfather........

My Grandpa was the Kindest,Sweetest, most understanding man who ever walked the earth. He took care of me as a child, in fact, he made my yearliest childhood years a pleasure. I remember him being there when I fell off my bike, being there when I got a new bike. He was there when I came home from school, He was the one who walked me to Kindergarden every morning, whether it be rain or snow, even though he had health problems, even while walking with his trusted cane.
I will forever cherish the memories of my granddad, My only regret is that my memory is so scarce, and I wish I could remember every single detail of my life with him.
But for all the things that are hard to remember, He is always in my heart, still walking with me and I will Love him until the end of Time.

He is the Husband of Ernestine Smith.
Grandfather to over 19 Grandchildren
Great Grandfather to over 15 great grandchildren
And especially a Wonderful Grandpa to Me.

He is the Father of Michele Holmes,Carolyn White, Rosalind Norfleet, Slyvia McBride, Linda McBride, Lois Drain Hardware and his only son, Paul J. Smith Jr.

But most of all He is MY Grandpa, and I Love him more than words can express. He was an Angel, who was taken from me too early.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth?

I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God.

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

I LOVE YOU GRANDPA

I will lie down beside thee,
Love Shibisha,
And mingle with Thy roses..."
