William Robert Campbell, was born on July 9, 1941 in the state of Tennessee to his Parents; Willie Francis Campbell and Willie Marie Felts Campbell. He was blessed with one sister; Peggy.
He was a member of the Graduating Class of 1959 at Cohn High School in Nashville. For a time he attended College at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, TN. While in College he was in a member of The United States Marine Corps. He served from 1960 to 1962, and during his service he was awarded several metals to include the sharp shooter award.
Robert was married three times. His first marriage was in the year of 1960 to Brenda Anglin and they had a Son, William Robert Campbell Jr. In 1968 he married Nancy Hurd and they had a Daughter, Vertina Lynn.
In the year of 1975 he married his wife, Bailey Ruth Pratt Campbell. They did not have children of their own, but Robert did have two children from other previous marriages; a Son, William Jr and a Daughter, Vertina.
Robert was the Grandfather to two Granddaughters; from his son William Jr; Jennifer born in 1982 and Tiffany born in 1984. Tiffany sadly passed away in the year 2000.
He passed away on March 15, 1993 from cancer at the age of 51 years old. He was cremated and his urn is interred at The Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum in Nashville next to the urn of his Wife who passed away in July 2007.
Survivors at the time of his passing included; Wife: Bailey Ruth, Sister: Peggy, Son: Robert Jr, Daughter: Vertina, Granddaughters: Jennifer and Tiffany.
