Adalee Anderson, 80, a resident of Wallowa for 56 years, died on Thursday, Aug. 23, 1979, in the Wallowa Memorial Hospital, where she was a patient for two days. She had been in failing health two months.

The daughter of Thomas and Millissa McDonald, she was born on Nov. 14, 1898, in DeQuincy, La. She married Herman Anderson on June 10, 1912, in Lake Charles, La. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1966.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Wallowa Methodist Church, Wallowa Senior Citizens' Pleasure Club, and AARP.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, 1979, at the Wallowa Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert E. Hefty officiating. Geneva Johnson was organist.

Bearers were Thorsten Shell, John Victor, Roy Southwick, Wayne Johnson, Jack Coleman, and Floyd Marcum.

Interment was at Wallowa Cemetery. Bollman Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
