She illustrated Emilie Blackmore Stapp's "The Trail of the Go-Hawks" (C.M. Clark Publishing, 1908).

Harriet Macy Dies at Age 85. Harriet Macy, 85, of 1302 Thirtieth Street, retired Des Moines art teacher, died Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital after a three-week illness.
A graduate of Drake University, she studied at the Cumming School of Art, the Art Students League in New York City, and the Pennsylvania Academy. She was an art instructor in the Des Moines school system 38 years.
Miss Macy was well-known locally for her paintings of Des Moines churches.
She had been art chairman of the Des Moines Women's Club and was past president of the Professional Women's League and Des Moines Association for Art Education. She was a member of the University Christian Church. Services are pending at Dunn's Funeral Home.

Rites Thursday for Miss Macy. Services for Harriett Macy, 85, of 1302 Thirtieth St., who died Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital after a three-week illness, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand Avenue. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
Miss Macy taught art for 38 years in the Des Moines public schools.
A graduate of Drake University, she studied at the Cumming Art School, the Art Students League in New York City and the Pennsylvania Academy.
She had served as art chairman of the Des Moines Women's Club and was past president of the Professional Woman's League and Des Moines's League and Des Moines Association for Art Education. She was a member of the University Christian Church.
There were no immediate family survivors.
