Willie Mae Andrews, 90, of Columbus, GA. died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Magnolia Manor according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Andrews was born in Manchester, GA. on October 27, 1917, daughter of the late Andrew M. Caldwell and Carrie Gill Caldwell. She has lived in Columbus for most of her life and was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church since 1942. She was very active in the nursery for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Women's Association and one of the founders of the P.B. Cofer Sunday School Class. Her husband George Wilson Andrews, daughter, Mary Jane Andrews Powell, sister, Loue Caldwell Mitchell, brothers, George W. Caldwell and Warren P. Caldwell preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister, Kathleen Caldwell Phelps of Manchester, GA. a special friend Donna Voynich of Columbus, a granddaughter, Shannon Powell Koon, grandson, Drew Koon, sister-in-law, Rose Black and several nieces and nephews.
