Mr. Follmer was born in Nelson in 1878 and spent most of his life in the Oak-Nelson vicinity as a real estate agent, a member of the Oak Community Church and the Nelson Masonic Lodge in which he was a 32nd degree Mason. He attended Nuckolls County Schools and the University of Nebraska.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Marcia McGaffin of Des Moines, Ia.; a son, Crawford, of Loveland, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ray Lowery and Miss Katherine Follmer of Oak.
Services were held Thursday afternoon, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Peter Vanderveen officiating.
Burial was in the Nelson cemetery (sic) with Masonic rites conducted by the Nelson Lodge. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, July 8, 1965.
Note: Mr. Follmer married Mary Sidney Crawford on May 15, 1901 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.
