Theo Alice "Dolly" (Burgess) Boughner, born February 27, 1907, was the youngest child of Tom W. and Theo (Hendrick) Burgess. She came to KS with her parents, two brothers and sister in 1908. Dolly attended school in Ingalls and became a teacher. Most of her tenure was spent in the Pratt, KS school system from which she retired. In her early years of teaching she met and married Charles Wesley Boughner. Charles spent most of their married life painting houses and after his death, Dolly moved to CA and lived with their daughter.
