Daughter of William LeFlore and Martha Patsy Walker.
Her first marriage was to Josiah Hamilton Dillard who died in 1885. She married Edward Uriah Simpson in 1896. she was born Oct 2, 1838 in Pelucia Creek, Carroll Co., MS and died in Ardmore, Carter Co., OK.
MRS. SIMPSON DIED; BURIAL ON THURSDAY
Mrs. Elizabeth H. Simpson, pioneer woman of Southern Oklahoma, died Wednesday morning at 7 o’clock at her home, 1123 D Street, northwest, following a long illness. She is the mother of J. H. Dillard, of Ringling.
Funeral services are to be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the First Methodist church, with Rev. J. T. McClure, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made at the Rose Hill cemetery with the Bettes Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Dillard was 86 years old and the mother of eleven children, six of whom survive her. She was well known in this city, having lived here for many years.
Immediate survivors are: One daughter, Mrs. Charles Jones, of Wilson; and five sons, J. H. Dillard, of Ringling; Tandy Walker, of Clovis, New Mexico; Gill of Tuton, Oklahoma; J. T. of Pocus, Ind.; and Lloyd of Ringling.
