Obituary: "Mrs. Eva Ruth Harris, 79, died in her sleep early Sunday, (Dec. 13, 1953) at her home in the Szilagyi Apartments following a heart attack. Mrs. Harris was born near Grape Creek July 27, 1874, daughter of William and Margaret Stevens Ogden. She was married to Charles Edward Harris, Dec. 18, 1897. He preceded her in death in 1924.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Richards, Mrs. Bess Haworth and Mrs. Maude Sprouls, all of Georgetown; a sister, Mrs. Medora Pribble of Danville; a brother, Edward Ogden, with whom she made he home; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Harris was a member of the First Church of Christ of Georgetown.

The body is at the Houghton Funeral Home where service: will be ht 3 p. m. Tuesday with Russell Burkett, pastor: Friends Church and John Tigner pastor of the First Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery." – Commercial News, Danville, Illinois
