Floreine R. Hancock, 89, of Marshall, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Riverview Cemetery in Kiowa, Kan. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials have been established to the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital or American Legion Post 191 in care of the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1918, at Kiowa, the daughter of the late Earl J. Chapman and Susie Peel Chapman. She had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She moved to Marshall in 1961 and was employed at ConAgra for several years and later the P and E Laundry in Marshall from 1969 to 1973. She volunteered for many years as an election official in Marshall. She attended Southside Assembly of God Church and was a member of American Legion Post 191.
One son, Truman J. Hancock of Marshall, survives her.
