Amber Josephine Bergman was born April 1, 1913, at Bedford, Iowa, the daughter of Jess and Sadie Winder Larison. She passed away September 23, 1977, in the Lincoln General Hospital at Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 64.

Amber attended the Nelson schools and graduated from the Nelson High School in 1932. On November 27, 1932, she was married to Fredo Bergman at Webber, Kansas. Two children were born to this union.

Amber was baptised in the Nelson Christian Church on March 7, 1926, and has been an active participant in church affairs. She was also a member of the Rebekahs, being a past Noble Grand. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Fairview Neighbors Club.

Amber lived in the Nelson area almost all her life, moving into Nelson in 1963, where she has lived since. For the past 25 years she has been employed in the Nuckolls County Hospital where she served on the kitchen staff.

Amber was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald, who died in infancy.

Survivors include her husband, Fredo; her daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Sharon) Meyer of Nelson; her son, Robert of O'Neill; a brother, Charles Larison of Nelson; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 26, at the First Christian Church in Nelson. Rev. Victor Schwartz officiated. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Jake Chapman, Ralph Chapman, Walster Williams, Raymond Statz, Roger Williams and Earl Adamson were casketbearers. Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson, was in charge of the arrangements.
