Minnie Watson Collins of Fort Scott(Bourbon County), Kansas; formerly from Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, in her home. She was 101 years old. Ms. Collins was born in 1906 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ms. Collins was the daughter of the late George Wesley and Eva Brownie(Robison)Williams. She married Theodore Roosevelt Collins in Fort Smith, Arkansas on March 13, 1925. Mr. Collins died on March 11, 1994. She was the owner of Collins Slip Cover and Drapery Shop.
Ms. Collins was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Theodore Collins; and a son: Walter Wesley Collins.
She is survived by two daughters: Mary McCow and Emma Allen, both of Fort Scott, Kansas; one son: Richard Collins of Belle Plaine, Kansas; 14 wonderful grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren; plus 31 precious great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, in the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home in Fort Scott, Kansas. Rev. Philip Wilson conducted the funeral service.
