Services for William Arthur Paarmann Jr., 83, of Davenport, will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Entombment will be in Davenport Memorial Park mausoleum.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Paarmann died Friday at his home. He was employed as a jeweler at Schneff Jewelers and later as a self-employed manufacturer of jewelry cases and window displays. While he was self-employed, he worked for all of the major jewelers in the bi-state area.

During World War II, he served in the Army in the Dental Corps and Army base dance bands, playing the saxophone. He was stationed in the Philippines.

Memorials may be made to the oncology department at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Survivors include sisters, Mildred Schneff, Claire Lamb and Harriette Buff, all of Davenport; brothers Carl, Bettendorf, and Ralph, Davenport.
