Mrs. Gann was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Underwood and Virgie Stringfield Underwood; and by three brothers, Olaf Underwood, Gene Underwood, and Guy Underwood.
Survivors: husband, James C. Gann of the Dyllis Community; sons, James D. Gann and wife, Donna of Dyllis, Darrell Gann and wife, Michelle of Dyllis; daughter, Doris Chadwell and husband, Michael of Atlanta; grandchildren, Matthew Gann, Justin Gann, Jason Chadwell, Lauren Chadwell; sister, Joyce Ott and husband, Charles of Greeneville, Tenn.
Mrs. Gann was born in Morgan County January 9, 1925. She has lived in this area all of her life. She worked as a chemical operator at the Y-12 plant, at Burlington Mills and last worked for the Roane County Board of Education. She is a longtime member of the Dyllis Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2000 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Tapp officiating. Friends may call Thursday, between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial and graveside services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
