Mr. Campbell was born in Montgomery, Ala., and had resided in this area since 1968. He married Melba Watson Willingham on Jan. 31, 1975, in Lake Worth and was affectionately known as "Groundhog" and "Gladys" by his family members.
Roy retired from Pettibone Texas Corp. as plant superintendent in the mid-1980s and in retirement operated Campbells Junk, a retail store for new used, useful and useless antiques and collectibles.
Survivors: His wife, Melba Campbell; children, Roy H. Campbell Jr., Diane Pierce, Gary Willingham and Al Willingham; brother, Earl Campbell; sisters, Judy Bell and Peggy Johnson; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
