Basil married Sarah Elizabeth Mattingly on April 21, 1797 in Washington Co, KY. After she died he married Mary "Polly" Mattingly sometime after 1812 probably in Washington Co, KY. I have found no evidence of the second marriage in Washington Co, KY records so it is possible that Sarah lived later than previously thought.
