Funeral rites for Clint Lee Sly, 71, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church with Rev Oscar Ratchkowsky officiating. Burial was in Grandview cemetery.
Sly died Sunday morning at Grand county hospital after an illness of three months. He had been a resident of Moab for the past 17 years. He was a carpenter by profession. Sly was born April 22, 1884 at Erie, Kans. and spent his childhood in Nebraska and Colorado. He was married Oct 1, 1919 at Nucla, Colo. to Ida M. Carter.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Ira C. Sly of Moab and John L. Sly, of Rye, Colo.; four daughters, Mrs. Ed Balsinger, Mrs. Harry Cleaveland, Mrs. Angus Beeson, all of Moab and Mrs. B. J. Andrews, of Corsicana, Texas; two brothers, Fred Sly, of Nucla, Colo. and Frank Sly, of Hollydale, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Winkfield, of Telluride, Colo. and Mrs. Mabel Nicholson, of Medford, Ore. and 22 grand-children.
