Immigrated 3 April 1847 from France, landing in New York, on the ship Caspian as Nicholas Brun. Spent about 20 years in Monroe Co., Michigan before coming to Akron. Husband of Catherine Noel. Father of Nicholas, Philip, John B., Michael and Victor Brown and Angeline Boss. It appears the family name was changed from Brun to Broun before 1900, and again to Brown before 1933.
