Horton F. Thacker

Horton F. Thacker, 84, died of complications from Parkinsons Disease July 9, 1995, at the Wasatch County Hospital.

Born August 19, 1916, in Daniels, to John and Eliza Winterton Thacker. Married Irene Williams, of Emery, on June 22, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple. Raised in Daniels and graduated from Wasatch High School in 1929. His life work was farming, raising livestock and sheep. Active High Priest in the LDS Church, had served in Daniel Ward Bishopric, a Temple worker and genealogist. Also served on the Daniel water board. Enjoyed the accomplishments of his foster children.

Survived by his wife and brother, Afton, Heber City; sister, Aurta Rigby, Salt Lake City; 14 foster childen; 32 foster grandchildren, 2 foster great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, four brothers, three sisters and three foster children.

Funeral services Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Heber East Stake Center, 2395 South Mill Road. Family and friends may call at the church Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Charleston Cemetery.
