Mary Rinehart Cameron was the daughter of David Rinehart (b 1790 in VA) and Rosanna Coyner Rinehart (b 1796 in VA). She married John Cameron on 28 April 1835.

Mary Rinehart was brother to Jacob Rinehart; Mary died in 1849 and Jacob died in 1852. John Cameron then married Jacob Rinehart's widow Rachel Hoffman Rinehart

Mary was also sister to Henry Rinehart b 1817; in 1836 Henry went to Mexico to fight with Sam Houston for TX and some family believed he was killed by Indians.
