Funeral services were held 2:00 Sunday, May 4, 2008 in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro with Reverend Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery near Calvin.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by two sons, Richard C. Carpenter and wife Kiaum of Baytown, TX and Timothy E. Carpenter of Austin, TX; two brothers, William E. Carpenter and wife Maude and Bob Carpenter, both of Calvin; sister, Earline Martin and husband James of Calvin; two grandchildren, Janina Carpenter and Tranden Carpenter, both of Baytown, TX; a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tranden Carpenter, Stanley Garrett, Hunter Garrett, Link Martin, Mike Carpenter and Jerry Reed.
