Hollidaysburg Democratic Standard, 9 July 1862:

"DIED- Mr. Michael Albert, of this place, has received a dispatch informing him of the death of his son John, who was a musician in the 84th Regiment. He has two more sons in the army, one of whom is now very ill, and he cannot hear where the other is."


John's older brother Francis Albert died in 1864.
