Reverend Harold Nicholas Auler, Jr. age 88 went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, May 1st, 2008. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri December 4th, 1919. He and his twin brother, Richard, were sons of missionary parents to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, CA. While he was attending Eden Seminary, he married Virginia Adrienne Huff in 1943.

In 1945 he and Virginia went to the mission field in Honduras, CA where they served as missionaries for 17 years. Harold accepted his first pastorate in the United States in Alliance, Ohio in 1962. He also served as pastor in Stone Creek, Ohio, Lanett, Alabama and Ramseur, North Carolina. After retiring his mission field moved to Candor, Biscoe and Troy, North Carolina where he and his wife ministered to the growing Hispanic community. He also served in the Randolph County Court system as a Spanish interpreter.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Auler; daughters Margaret Smith, Beth Williams and husband Steve; sons, David Auler and wife Sandy, Rev. John Auler and wife Karen; grandchildren, Lisa Coulter and husband Jay, Sarah Auler, Brett Auler, Jeremy Auler and wife Angie, Micah Auler, Elizabeth Auler, Anna Auler and Nate Auler. Great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Caitlin Auler, Morgan and Walter Jay Coulter III born today May 1, 2008. "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21
