Charles Edward Wall, 79, of Dunkirk, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Randolph Nursing Home, Winchester, .
Charles was born in Dunkirk on October 13, 1928, the son of the late Albert and Leotha Mae (Decamp) Wall. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, was involved in the occupation of Japan, receiving the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
He worked as a mold maker at Indiana Glass, and was also employed at Overmyer Mold and Ball Brothers in Muncie. He was a member of Dunkirk American Legion Post 227, was an avid court show tv fan, and enjoyed bingo.
Survivors include: a daughter, Marilyn Marsh of Eaton; three sons, Wayne Brumley of Ft. Wayne., Jeffrey (Cassandra) Brumley of Lynn., and Paul (Vicki) Brumley of Muncie; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Stipp and Elizabeth Chowning of Winchester and several nieces and nephews.
Preceeded in death by his parents,his wife,Opal and his brother in law,Jerry Chowning
cause of death,brave battle of lung cancer for 2 years.
The funeral service will be held at MJS Mortuaries- Redkey Chapel, on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joe Hines officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow services on Friday in Gardens of Memory Muncie. Military graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Post 227.
Due to construction, the funeral services will be in the Redkey chapel not the Dunkirk chapel.
