Arnold H. "Hallie," Alberson was born ca 1921, in Esses, Stoddary County, Missouri, to James Henry and Laura Alice Marker Alberson. He died on 5 February 1939 in a car accident. The car in which he was riding slipped off the road and turned upside down in a drainage ditch. Someone reported damage to a bridge railing and the repair crew came to fix it and found the car which was not visible until standing near the edge of the bridge. Four young died on that snowy, cold, icy night, including Hallie's brother, Jimmy, his niece Wanda E. Goode and her friend. The accident happened east of Essex. The account of the accident can be read in the Sikeston, Missouri newspaper.

Arnold H. "Hallie," Alberson was the first cousin of my grandmother Lucinda Opal Smith who was raised by his mother Laura Alice Marker Alberson when her mother Mary Leticia Marker Smith died ca 1898.
