Anna was born in Ladbergen, Westphalia, Prussia, daughter of Johan Wilhelm and Anna Catharina (Hemmer) Kuck. She married Johan Hermann Stienecker/Stieneker circa 1808.

Johan Hermann Stienecker, heuerling, and his wife, Anna Christine Elisabeth geb Kuck, immigrated in 1840. Two children accompanied them: Hermann Heinrich Wilhelm, 28-03-1825, and Anna Sophie Elisabeth, 29-07-1827. Another son, Hermann Heinrich, 09-01-1815, immigrated in 1836, four years before the family. Their daughter Christine immigrated in 1837 with her husband, Johan Wilhelm Hünefeld. The Stienecker family settled in Warren County, MO, close to their daughter and son-in-law, the Hünefelds. After William Hünefeld died in 1852, their daughter, Christine, married Wilhelm Brüggenjohann; Mrs. Brüggenjohann was also buried in Immanuel Cemetery.

Please note son William Steneker's (1809-1886) headstone of Liberty Cemetery, Hancock County, Iowa, in photos to right.

Mrs. Stienecker's and other headstones in Immanuel/Immanuels United Church of Christ Cemetery, Holstein, MO, can be viewed at Warren County, MO, Rootsweb. Many thanks go to Betty Brooks for her assistance and dedication to preserving "the long forgotten family cemeteries" of central Missouri:
