Beverly Lucille Glade Wessman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away April 26, 2008, at the age of 84.

She was born April 21, 1924, in Salt Lake City to William Lester Glade and Lucy Lucile Green and married John Hayward Wessman on June 19, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of eight children. Beverly, a woman of exceptional faith and generosity, always said her proudest achievement in life was her children. She was an ordinance worker at the Salt Lake Temple, and served with her husband, John, in the France Paris mission (1985-1987). Beverly was an unselfish person who was always serving others. With her mother and siblings, she started and ran a gold leafing business for almost 20 years to help support her five sons on their missions. After her husband's retirement, Beverly and John were able to travel to many parts of the world. She always made friends wherever she was and was known for her cheerfulness and kindness. She was noted for her love of flowers and beautiful gardens.

She is survived by seven children: Ann W. Tanner (James), Mesa, Ariz.; J. Roger (Judy), Salt Lake; Richard K. (Rebecca), Laramie, Wyo.; David L. (Kaye), Idaho Falls, Idaho; Craig J. (Debbie), Mark D. (Marci) and Marie W. Goddard (Scott), Salt Lake. She has 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grand-children. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2004 and a daughter, Patricia Lucille, in 1957.
