Mrs. Jennie Scott, 76, of 507 Cutler Street, died as the result of a stroke suffered two years ago at 4 p.m. yesterday at the home of Tony Schneiderman; Dunkerton, Iowa, at whose place she was convalescing.
Born Jennie Sloper, July 3, 1869 in Tama County, near Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of James l. and Rebeccab Robbins Sloper, she was married to R. E. Grover July 3, 1888 near Vinton.
He was engaged in farming there and at Rodman, Iowa, where she resided until his death in 1914 when she removed to Cedar Falls. In 1927, she moved to Missoula, Mont., where she resided until moving to Waterloo several years ago.
She was a member of the Nazarene church at Missoula.
Surviving are two sons, E. E. Grover, Denver, Ia.; W. B. Grover, Invergrove, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. L. R. Vining and Mrs. E. J. Webber, Missoula; Mrs C. M. Kipp, 507 Cutler street; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Ferguson, Escelsior, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
The body is at the Parrott & Wood funeral home.



Jennie Sloper was married to Robert Grover on 22 Oct. 1888, after he died she remarried to William R. Scott on 15 Jan. 1921.
