Evelyn, 80, passed away Thursday in a local hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and was a charter member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She worked in the cafeteria at Vinton High School.
Survivors include two sons, James Benoit and wife Nan and Mike Benoit and wife Becky; one sister, Pat Allen; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty two years, EJ Benoit, Jr.; one daughter, Susan Benoit McCullogh; her parents, Clarence and Kate Granger; and two brothers, Bud Granger and Richard Granger.
