Allen and Mary Lou King Allen, he graduated in 1934 from Middle Georgia College and in 1937 from Mercer University School of Law and was a licensed attorney for more then 60 years. Mr. Allen served in the Army Air Corps during World War II with the 417th Bomb Group (Light) in the South Pacific. He was the Clerk of Superior Court of Wilkinson County for thirty-two years, Soil and Water Conservation Supervisor for Wilkinson County for thirty years, past president of the Ocmulgee Bar Association, and a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a longtime member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board at Four County Bank in
Allentown. Mr. Allen was a lifelong member and a longtime Steward of Allentown United Methodist Church. He was also a gardener, a fisherman, a teller of stories, and a lover of life. -A believer in the value of education, he established three scholarships; the Willis I Allen Scholarship Fund at the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, the Nellie Helton Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund at Middle Georgia College and the Hannah L. Allen Scholarship Fund at Wesleyan College. -Mr. Allen was married to the late Nellie
Helton Allen and is survived by his daughter: Hannah L. Allen, Macon; his sister: Mary Frances Nielsen, Allentown; his niece: Romona Derry, Allentown and several great-nephews and great nieces. -The family will welcome flowers or donations to the Willis I. Allen Scholarship Fund at the Walter F.
