Juanita Bardin Forrester, 85, of Coolidge, passed away November 30, 2013 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Coolidge Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating.

Visitation with the family will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.

Juanita was born June 13, 1928 in Oletha, Texas to David Samuel and Myrtle Melissa Sills Bardin. She married Billy Smithey Forrester on January 20, 1948. She retired from the First State Bank in Coolidge after 36 years of service.

Juanita loved her family; they were her world. She was an avid reader, she loved books. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, cooking, canning and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Juanita is survived by her sister, Ruby Jewell Hodges of Coolidge; five children, Barbara Forrester Schreiber and husband, Bill of Tyler, Molly Forrester Keys and husband, Jerry of Mexia, Rebecca Ann Forrester of Waco, Sarah Forrester Talley of Coolidge and Billy David Forrester of Mexia; 11 grandchildren, Laura Keys, Suzi Keys Wilson, Jason Balser, Clay Balser, Amy Moffett Medic, Eric Moffett, Aaron Forrester, Elizabeth Forrester, Joseph Forrester, Robyn Talley and Emily Talley; eight great-grandchildren, Sophia Keys, Cassie Keys, Rachel Balser, Hannah Balser, Katelyn Balser, Samantha Balser, April Watson and Juan Corlas Cuvas; and one great-great-granddaughter, Chloe Nicole Watson.

Pallbearers will be Eric Moffett, Jason Balser, Clay Balser, Joseph Forrester, Bill Schreiber, Jerry Keys, Lorenzo Rogers, Frank Wilson and J.R. Allen

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coolidge ISD libraries, the high school band or the Coolidge Cemetery Association.
