Anthony immigrated from Lithuania to Montana where he became a naturalized citizen in 1900. Later he lived in Seattle, Washington. Around 1917 he relocated to Vancouver where he worked as a logger and a ship builder.

According to Anthony's WWI draft card, his nearest relative was D. Klikna of Springfield, Illinois, making him a possible relative to Dominic Klikna
