He was born Feb 6, 1911 in Popular Bluff, Missouri, a son of Charles and Malissa Hitt Barham. He died of a heart attack on Sept 20, 1971 at the Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield (he and his wife were in route to Springfield when he collapsed from a heart attack). He married Cora Turner in Palmayra, Missouri. on May 2, 1932. He was a veteran of WW II and a member of the Methodist Church.
