Son of the late Dewey Edward Bryant, Sr., and Carolyn Smoot. He was a member of Laurel Woods Ministry in Bessemer City. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. He worked with the Gaston County Police Department for 18 years and worked for Danaher Tool Group for 14 years. He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Del Rosario Bryant; sons, Michael Dean Bryant and Edward Ketih Bryant; granddaughter, Stephenie Caroline Bryant; brother, Byron Lee Bryant; sister, Carol Ann Gilreath; and a number of nieces and nephews. His funeral was officiated by The Rev. Carroll Henderson, Jr.
