She was born Dec. 16, 1911, in Danville, the daughter of Edward L. and Bernice (Fullington) Esworthy. From the age of 7, she made her home with her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Fullington of Oakwood.
She was a graduate of Oakwood Township High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1933. She married Lowell D. Crawford on Jan 6. 1934. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1981.
Survivors of Florence include several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Florence served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during the latter part of WW II. She enjoyed nursing, homemaking, gardening and travel. She also was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church.
