Mary Angeline Chandler was the daughter of Deacon Samuel Chandler and Lovina Harrington Chandler. Samuel was Deacon of Old First Church from 1845 until his death in 1885. Mary, who never married, lived with her half brother, Edwin Samuel Chandler, who was proprietor of the Chandler Store on Monument Avenue, Bennington.
